    "... Ganyaaan laaa-aaannng...

...ang buhay sa mundo." :-" ;))

Nyihihi. I've changed my mind and decided to give All About Eve another chance. I've started consciously tuning in to GMA and waiting for AAE since last week. And true to form, eh napasugod nako sa Kyafu last Sunday for the deebeedee. *tago sa vrb*glee*

As soon as I got home, I popped in the last disc to watch the last 2 eps. Oo, ending muna shempre! *rotfl* Nyaha! Tas yun, I don't care much for Erica but I couldn't help crying along with her whenever I saw those tears run down her cheeks. Sheteh. I know she had it all coming pero... nuninu.. *coughcrybabycough*.. I was even muttering "buti nga sayo" as I was reaching for the tissue to blow my nose with. Wihi.

And that's one thing I appreciate about the show. Most antagonists in melodramas have the tendency to be one dimensional characters that appear to have been created just so the leads would look their pitious best for the audience to sympathize over.<_< Aish. I hate being duped like that. As much as I want the villain to bear the brunt of my blame, I want to know where he or she is coming from as well. I want to understand the root of such scorn. It's easy to hate the lecheng contrabida. We are all being pointed in that direction anyway. What's rare to find is a show that creates a villain who tugs at your strings strong enough to make it hard for you to completely hate him or her.

I'm not saying that I consider AAE to be one of those rare ones. Hindi ah. I mean, I've only skimmed through the first 6 episodes. I haven't seen the entire series to have the entire picture from which I can draw my opinion from. But based on what I've seen, the role was more fleshed out than your usual decorative antagonists. Kim So Yeon was lucky that her Young Mi / Erica / Yin Mei (sa chinese version nung English subbed dvd) character has received such treatment from the makers of AAE. I mean I still freakin' curse her to kingdom come, but I understand the so many "Why(s)" of the "What-The-Hell-Has-She-Done-Now(s)." I surely do not agree with her "How(s)" but I do get it. That's precisely why I wasn't able to bring myself to cackle in glee upon seeing her grief-stricken and in a desperate state. Aliw noh? But for now, I don't think I can stand to watch her play goodie goodie roles. She'll always be the devious Erica I've come to know. Same thing in my book with Kim Tae Hee, na mashadong tumatak saken as the eye-bulging Eunice in STH na napapaisip pa rin ako if gusto kong bumili nung Love Story In Harvard. Nyihi.

Speaking of round eyes (in nontradKorean proportion)... segue tayo kina Jang Dong Gun at Chae Rim. Haha. Mashadong fairytale si Papa Kenneth ha? Pero kilig naman ako. Nyahahaha. I like it that he doesn't make patol sa pa-charming ni Erica. *sticks out tongue at Erica* Waaah, and haylayk those teary-eyed moments of Kenneth every time nai-"in your fez" sha ng love ni Nicole for Warren. Lech. Naka-smile siya in front of Nicole pero pag alone na sha..the hurt! The Hurt! Sheteh.. *takbo2hugKennethOppa* And di ko rin magawang mainis ng sobra kay Nicole since that's exactly the same shoes she's wearing every time nai-"in your fez" naman sha ng love ni Warren for Erica. Nagpapaka-happy din ang lola for Warren's sake pero ang luha na bumabalong sa mata.. sheteh.. *takbo2hugNicoleUnni* Aigooooo! *takbo tas hugs self* =))

I've had JDG's Friend dvd for a while now.. Watch ko cguro one of these days para mas ma-appreciate ko si Kenneth Oppa. ;)) As for Chae Rim.. I've seen her in Four Sisters, and I must admit that I didn't really take much notice of her character there. Mas endearing for me yung eldest sis kahit she pales in comparison with her other half-sisters in the looks department. Pero here in AAE, feeling ko nala-like ko na si Chae Rim. *facepalm* And after hearing that her real voice isn't as cloying as the dubbed Nicole voice on GMA, mas like na sha. Waaaaah! Pahaba na ng pahaba ang VD list ko utangnaloob! *giggles*hiya*

Yun muna on AAE. Will probably make a more coherent comment chorva once I've seen all of it. Hihi.

    * ETA: Spoiler alert >> Ending of AAE
