    Several Shades of Crap

    The weekend, it was.

I was planning to continue with the May Recap Thing but I got sidetracked by last weekend's crapola so I'm gonna reduce what could have been a lengthy piece into bulleted points:

  • Nearly everyone I voted for actually won. yep, 5 out of 6 of 'em.

  • I went madly insane over three things: dvds, dvds, and more dvds. Just add the p before each one. *coughpiratecough*

  • I was out of a job by the end of May.

  • And then there was June.

I got shipped off to a different department. Same company, same city, different building. No friggin idea how the operations are processed (wtf do i know about ledgers and accruals eh?) but since what I've been assigned to do falls under the "drone work" category, I've been simply sucking it up for more than a month now. It's not doing much for my self-esteem nor tipping the scales in the work happiness category but hey.. *sighs* Coz you know.. bills to be paid, pdvds to be bought. Heh. I'll have August onwards to revert to my state of woeful unemployment anyways.

And then last weekend was crapola galore.

It started with Friday's nonsurprise birthday nonparty for an officemate who wasn't even able to make it to the dinner. So much for that one.

The next day was so much better. It marked my first visit to Quiapo. Went home with my backpack close to bursting. I have more things to say about that. Just not at this very moment.

Then came Sunday. Plans went all screwy. My mum got sick from the horrible heatwave. There was an announcement about the water supply getting cut off which we hadn't known about. Hence, the "bakit walang awas?!" outcry.

No nawasa. No deep well. Heatwave.

    Dammnit.

I couldn't wait for the day to end.
